"Welcome to the Island"

I can't say enough good things about Angel Island. Its one of those places that reminds me of childhood summer camp day trips, gatherings, friends, all good memories; except for that one time my sister's cute new hat, blew off into the ocean...sad.  I love all its secret hidden spots, its ties to history, and the fact that I always feel one with nature upon arrival via ferry boat.  One secret spot we continue to visit yearly, is the almost secluded private beach. For the past two years this has been the go to spot for a friends b-day bash, and does not disappoint. Although the weather this year, left me yearning for a few more layers, and meant me stealing my wonderful boyfriend's, extremely large and unflattering (on me) fleece, a good time was had by all, as usual!

pictures top to bottom: 1.friends looking out to Angel Island on ferry, 2. me and bf on ferry with a fogged over Golden gate bridge, 3. the hike back from secret spot, 4. sliders cooking, eventually topped with Gruyere, and all the fixings, 5. bday boy with secret message, 6. elated to be heading up to museum, 7. view from hike, 8. Sausalito being overtaken by massive fog cloud.

Stay tuned tomorrow for regularly schedule fashion programming....
