what the boy likes

{Tramp dress, Empyre blazer, American Apparel sweatshirt, Franco Sarto boots, Hollister beanie}

I've been working on my androgynous side lately. I am always on the hunt for inspiration and seemed to have found it in spring campaigns for Club Monaco and J. Crew, images in my head of chic ladies from last year's trip to Paris, and hours on the Sartorialist.

The last bit was actually recommended to me by my boyfriend, who himself was caught up in all the glorious style porn on Schuman's site. He insisted I would look good in something similar to what a wildly chic European women was caught traipsing around Milan in. I did my best to recreate it, and this is what I came up with, minus the pixie cut and Birkin.

By the way, I really want something new with my hair, I want to grow it out, but it's getting to that point where it's hard not to cut. I also want color...any ideas? I'm so ready for a change, I'm thinking about dying the brows, a la Camille Belle.

  5. Very nice androgynous look. I admire girls who can pull it off, and even if I could, I think I'd just feel too manly. You look great here, and I like the mix of plaid shirt, sweatshirt and blazer.

  6. I love this look so much, especially your amazingly structured blazer. It's so funny that your bf had input on this outfit- he's definitely spot on about what you look good in! Which isn't like most men, who just insist on revealing, sexy, super feminine clothing.

  12. You look so feminine fab in your boy get-up! + I just adore Miss Camille Belle. If you want to grow your hair out, maybe just settle for a trim and not a cut. New color? How about trying out a rinse instead of something permanent at first, just to try something different to see what you like?

    It's just hard to give you advice, because you look fabulous the way you are already BUT i do understand wanting change!!

    You know what? I don't think I helped at all!! *scurries away*

  17. Love that you threw on a blazer with this outfit! And regarding the lipstick, I'm not actually sure what color it is. Hope it's the name you mentioned, then I can buy it again when I run out :)

  19. you look great!! love the sweater/button up combo, that pop of blue in your hat is so fun. hmm...i'm always too scared to do anything drastic with my hair, so i'm afraid i don't have any ideas- especially since you're hair is so beautiful as is!

    aaaand yes, we are planning on landing in rome and spending a few days there before hopping around- i'd love to know about the pub you mentioned! <3
