well-styled wednesday: the fisherman sweater

The sweater is to fall as Obama is to the presidency (yeah, that's right I snuck in election garb!) It's just makes sense. The weather is cold out, you want to look chic, but not freeze your buns off. It's perennial cool weather chic done right, right? The cable knit fisherman sweater is a no-brainer and it's super easy to style. I love the idea of this nubby knit paired with a something feminine or streamlined- like a ball gown skirt, a sleek pair of leather pants, or even a bejeweled mini. Since fall is all about layering, don't forget to throw on a fur trimmed khaki bomber, and a chic bedazzled beret to solidify your cool girl status!

These are my top three fisherman sweaters on the web right this moment, a stunning Kenzo option, an olive hued option, and an affordable oatmeal pullover option! Are any of them on your list too?

Style tip: throw on a delicate statement necklace to complete your fall look- enter my giveaway today- and win one for yourself!

  1. I love giant sweaters. Mostly because I'm a wimp and the cold northeastern winters kick my butt every year. Glad to know they're fashionable too!

  2. I'm on the lookout for a nice fisherman's sweater with a cropped cut these days. Great picks, pretty lady!

  3. I love all of these. Tried one on today... it didn't come home with me, sadly! I'll have to try again soon, ha ha :)
