tying the knot

{F21 top, Anthropologie flamingo dress, vintage LV crossbody, Kenneth Cole necklace, bracelets: nOir, Rocks Paper Metal, UO watch, Love of Pretty Eagle claw}

It's not usually an option to bring your entire wardrobe on vacation with you, as much as it seems like the right thing to do. In my case, I re-wore a lot of my favorite items and repurposed them in interesting yet wearable ways. This flamingo dress was first worn earlier this month, and as the perfect silk dress, I knew it was something that needed to come with me to Montreal. The weather wasn't as warm as I anticipated, so I threw over a distressed tee and tied it up! Voilà outfit numéro trois.

jumpsuit

{F21 jumpsuit, thrifted vest, J. Crew sandals, vintage LV cross-body, SEE sunglasses, jewelry: Vanessa Eves key necklace, J. Crew emerald bracelet, Urban Outfitters watch, nOir spike bracelet, Rocks Paper Metal neon double wrap bracelet}

Whoever invented the jumpsuit is a bit of a genius. Sure, it's a bit difficult to always undress when you need to use the loo, but it really is a no brainer outfit- and in a simple black hue, it's easy to dress up or down. This was day two in Montreal. The jumpsuit was perfect for the warmer summer climate, to stroll the picturesque streets, tour the site of the 1976 Summer Olympics, and wind the day down at Parc Lafontaine- where we may or may not have brought our own bevies.

Jewelry is a quintessential part of packing for a trip, dressing up an outfit, and for many of us it's simply a must! This Friday I'm helping host a Stella & Dot trunk show in my native San Francisco- if you are nearby I'd love to meet and mingle over nibbles, drinks and gorgeous jewelry. If you aren't nearby but love Stella & Dot as much as I do, you can still shop my trunk show online here!

Montreal {day one}

{Zara jacket, J. Crew tee, H&M skirt, SEE sunglasses, Bauble Bar necklace, Polyvore x Rebecca Minkoff purse, Ash sandals, nOir spike bracelet}

My boyfriend and I generally try and go on one big trip every year, this year we decided on Montreal- and we were not disappointed. Montreal is an amazing city, with friendly folks, fantastic food, and an amazing culture. Stay tuned this week and next as I hi-light my favorite neighborhoods, local cuisine, and of course- what I wore.

By the way, the metro is always a huge part of our travels, and the one in Montreal (second shot) was easy to navigate, and actually clean! Have any of you ever been to Montreal? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this fab city!

SEE and be seen

 {Zara combination jacket, thrifted vest, unknown lace dress, J. Crew Biennial bag, Jeffery Campbell Rumble booties, SEE sunglasses c/o, Bauble Bar necklace}

Getting in on the mirror shade trend I couldn't resist customizing a very allergic to vanilla pair of SEE sunnies. The tortoise shell frame is elegant and classy, but the quirky shape and fun lens tint give it a modern edge- just the way I like things!

back to school

{Audrey 3+1 dress worn as skirt, Proenza Schouler x Target sweatshirt, thrifted cowboy boots, J. Crew  bag, BCBG collar necklace}

Nothing says the start of fall like school uniforms and chillier temps. And while it may still be warm out, I definitely have Autumn on the brain. This is my take on schoolgirl chic does summer.
