ladies who brunch

{MNG by Mango tweed blazer, Zara dress (another good one!), Tory Burch loafers, 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel, House of Harlow necklace c/o, Hollister beanie, Indie Flick by NYX lipstick}

This look is quintessential Carlina- a little bit ladylike, a little bit downtown. The beanie and bright lip gave this look a downtown-edge, while the tweed coat, prim dress, and gilded loafers added the femininity factor. How do you do rock your "ladies who brunch" look?

summer frock

{Aqua paisley dress, SheInside white blazer, 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli, Zara red booties, TOKYObay watch, nOir bracelet, Sasha Maks vintage earrings}

 This cute little look was what I wore to the FashionElles x Sasha Maks event here. It was the easiest outfit to pull together, ever! This gorgeous little summer frock was instantly dressed up with my closet staple-- the blazer. I love a good blazer, but this white one is super fresh and I am squeezing the last bit out of summer in this perfect topper. Kind of the perfect summer outfit-- for San Francisco.

Sasha Maks jewelry

The goods at FashionElles

Kate in her fab neck pieces!

This weekend I had the pleasure of hosting a shopping event at FashionElles boutique in the Marina neighborhood in San Francisco. There was champagne and cupcakes and gorgeous, gorgeous vintage jewelry sourced by Sasha Maks! It was so much fun, here are some of my favorite snaps.

downtown lady

{Michael Stars tank, thrifted denim jacket, eShakti skirt (another good one!), American Eagle cap, Zara loafers, vintage pin, 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli (have you seen this one?), TOKYObay watch, and vintage jewelry}

There is something about this skirt. It's super flattering and I love the striking colors! I did a very ladylike look here, so I wanted to do a different take on it-  a "downtown-cool", if you will.

my moments: food & wine edition

(dinner at Redd Wood)

(Regusci view)

(fresh stone fruit at Hill)

(Cantelope and Strawberry ice-cream with a vanilla cookie)

(Bouchon Bistro Bakery)

(watermelon, baby arugula, roasted corn salad with cherry tomato flatbread)

This weekend I had the pleasure of visiting my happy place-- wine country. I cruised around Napa, Yountville and St. Helena with a few girlfriends--where I ate a ton of great food paired with excellent wine- it couldn't have been better. This weekend Jessup Cellars in Yountville was hosting a "Dress to the Vines" fashion and wine series, and since I love fashion, and I love wine it was nice to mingle with the taste-makers in the area.  I visited a few standout places that I'd love to share with you if you are ever in the area! First up is Regusci Winery. This family-owned winery in the Napa Stags Leap District was breathtaking, the 289 acre estate was brimming abundantly with vegetation and produce in the most beautiful garden. I was lucky enough to enjoy a private lunch heavily sprinkled with goodies grown and cultivated on the grounds. It was hands down one of the best lunches I've ever had in the Napa area!

Then I made it over to Hills Family Estate, where they gave us a private tour of another magical garden- brimming with stone-fruit trees, berries and every kind of herb imaginable! It was incredible to be able to pluck a honey fig off of the tree, and taste the incredible texture and flavor that you could only taste in a sun-filled garden like this.

Huge thanks to all the wonderful people who made this fab weekend possible!

classic

{Zara blazer (really good one), Target striped top, Rose Royce denim, Zara two-tone heels, 3.1 Phillip Lim Pashli Satchel, rings: Urban Outfitters, gift from Nicaragua}

Some days you just need an easy outfit to get you through the day. But since I've never been one for just jeans and a tee, it obviously needs to be jazzed up. I did my best to up the ante on this look with a fist full of rings, a fab pair of classic pumps and spiffy blazer. If you look real close you'll see the gorgeous detail on this blazer, it's jacquard and silk...gorge.

If you are in San Francisco tomorrow I'm hosting an event with a few other local ladies in the Marina. Some shopping, some sipping- your Saturday plans just got a whole lot better ;)
