Reading has always fascinated me. When my younger self was asked to provide my hobbies on applications, questionnaires or among friends I would always include reading. It was my little getaway from the everyday, I could go anywhere and be put in anyone’s shoes for a moment. Fast forward to today, reading still is counted among my favorite things to do...when I have the time. I’m not sure how it happened but the days are way too busy and there just is no time. Thanks to constantly evolving technology, and Audible.com there is now the option to listen to books on your smartphone or tablet while doing chores, commuting to and from work, or doing as I’ll be doing- wrapping presents/baking cookies while listening to The Paris Wife- a book I’ve always wanted to dive into to. I’ve also wanted to check out How to Be Parisian Wherever You Are (do I sense a trend?), and Not That Kind of Girl...there are so many great options!
I have always imagined myself a book-gifter, wanting to give my friends the perfect fashion coffee table tome, or map filled publication to my travel obsessed wandering friends- books are the perfect personalized present. This holiday season cut through the malls and order the special ones in your life the gift that literally keeps on giving- a subscription to Audible.com. Your giftee can pick out all the books they want to enjoy at their leisure- whether it’s a gift for the little ones in your life (Green Eggs and Ham, anyone?) or a promise to the New Year with a great How-To title (think budget books, or learning to speak French- a resolution of mine for the past few years.) Even though Cyber week is over, Audible is generously offering a major discount at a rate of $7.49 for the first three months. That's over 50%, and way cheaper than one hardcover book nowadays!
And since you all have been very good this year ;) Audible (an Amazon owned company) is helping host a fabulous giveaway with some great bloggers including yours truly- a Amazon e-Gift card of $200! Enter via the Rafflecopter below. Good luck and Happy Holidays!
