Every holiday season I celebrate big things- anniversaries, holiday festivities, special moments with good friends- so it's no surprise I stock up on the libations this time of year. Towards the end of 2014 I'm not stocking up on just any bubbly but a sparkling wine from ONEHOPE, a company I was introduced to at the Fillmore Wine and Food Festival- where the purchase of every bottle make a difference by donating half of the profits to partner causes- ending childhood hunger, fighting breast cancer, supporting our troops, and many more. Booze and benefits? Now that's a beverage I can get behind!
This holiday season I hosted Christmas Eve dinner and decided on a classic cocktail hour pre-dinner. I poured ONEHOPE Sparkling Wine in gold rim champagne flutes and a cranberry garnish, alongside some jazzed up nibbles. I put together a cream cheese and cranberry jalapeño jelly dip, as well as a homemade caramel candy cane popcorn- that was super easy to make. I wanted just a few salty and sweet bites to go with the crisp ONEHOPE wine prior to the main course. Everybody loved the bubbly- including my husband who is not a huge fan of champagne. The festive sparkly bottles truly make this ONEHOPE beverage the obvious choice for this time of year!
Tonight I'll be ordering up a champagne cocktail- or two- at the bar around midnight, and since this is the perfect bubbly I'm hoping they'll have ONEHOPE at the bar.
