I'm getting married very soon. It's a destination wedding, somewhere tropical and I have illusions, or disillusions of rustic ethereal grandeur. Here's hoping my wedding dreams become a real life pin board. Here are some tidbits of what I'm thinking and why:

I'm super into the flowy vibes of these wipsy beach ready gowns. Since it's going to be hot, I wanted less fabric in a more breathable texture. I might add a fauna crown, and keep my fingers crossed I get Giselle-eque waves, for my "I Do's!"
The floaty paper banners seen in the above images are called papel picado, traditional Mexican celebratory decor. Papel Picado in stark white was something I had to have. I ordered several wedding banners and am hoping that mixing them with tiny lights, and the sound of the waves crashing in the background will make for a magical and meaningful atmosphere. Also super obsessed with the mini maracas. How fun would those be to hand out to guests?

The naked cake is newish to the wedding game but something I had never heard of before. It's a gorgeous wedding cake sans loads of frosting, peppered with fresh flowers, thin layers of icing, jam, and beautiful extras like fruit and leaves. I'm obsessed (again!) The destination part of this magical day makes it tough to determine whether I get this type of cake or not as bakeries are far and few between over there. So we'll see what I get. Might have to make my own! Keep your fingers crossed for me.

There is less than a week and a half to go til the "Big Day" and here I am looking at more accessories. Who am I kidding I'm always looking at new accessories. Here are some favorites if you want to take a peek. Think they might have express shipping?

  1. The beauty about this place is that it's not just a unique space in itself, but it's a full-service catering space as well, and the food at wedding venues NYC is incredible. We worked / developed a relationship with them over the course, and nothing is out of reach.
