Being in New York City gives me such life and happiness — until you come down with a cold because it's zero degrees and you're not properly dressed because it's fashion week — but we'll save that story for another day. This day, I'd say I was pretty bundled up. The layers are more tissue thin but there were about ten of them, including tights under denim! Always tights under denim when in New York Winter weather.
This day I was running around Chelsea. I'd just wrapped up the Custo Barcelona show and on my way to the Chelsea Market for a late lunch at Friedman's when I serendipitously ran into Ryan Chua, SF based street-style photographer. He was on the way to shoot the arrivals of another show. He offered to quickly shoot me and this is what happens when you shoot with Ryan in less than a minute. I couldn't be more obsessed with how these came out. The perfect tail-end-of-day lighting, the vivid blues on this fashion week outfit, and the stride of a woman going somewhere.
I was lucky enough to borrow this amazing Reiss blazer at the ShopStyle Social House a day earlier, sadly it already went back- I'd give up ten of my good blazers for this one! It was the perfect base for this modern day 70's glam look. The BabubleBar statement earrings were also a fun touch since I never really wear bigger earrings unless they are hoops.
While I miss NYC already, I know I'll be back soon enough- oh, and glad for this California weather.
