A few months ago the COS team invited me out to Los Angeles to view their new Spring collection and attend a press preview! To say I was impressed was an understatement, the COS team pulled out all the stops and made my stay, and my experience with the brand a memorable one.
It was a quick 24 hour trip but an unforgettable one. Read along for the breakdown of my press preview with COS:
Day 1: The Arrival
After flying into LAX, I found a driver waiting for me, with a sign and all!, to shuttle me off to the Chamberlain, in Beverly Hills, for the evening. I had a Gigi Hadid moment and realized a driver waiting for me at every airport could have been my life, but my mom isn't Yolanda, alas I went with it and enjoyed the 30-minute drive in my spacious luxe suburban with tinted windows, fully stocked with bottled water, mints and hand sanitizer. I mean, what else does a girl need, right?
Driving past chic neighborhoods, and endless palm trees lining the streets I finally found myself at destination number one that evening — The Chamberlain — my humble abode for the evening. It was a Hollywood dream, the checkerboard floors, deco vibes scattered in the lobby, mirrors splashed everywhere. It was perfect. I checked in to find I was upgraded and moved to a bigger suite! In my suite, the COS team left a little welcome gift (pictured directly above), so I knew I was in for a treat the next 24 hours.
I was on a bit of time crunch since we had dinner reservations and had a whole five minutes to get out of my airport OOTD and into a fab LA look for a night out with some very fancy people. Oh dear. Well, it took me a whole seven minutes, but I made it! We arrived at Ysabel, our dining establishment for the evening, and it was just so chic. The decor, the endless amounts of food, the top-shelf tequila, the great conversation with some very fabulous people. Slowly but surely LA was trying to win me over.
Day 2: Press Day
After a relaxing night sleep in a King sized bed I woke up, and while room service sounded fab, I wanted to explore the hotel, so I went downstairs and had breakfast in the restaurant while sneaking in a little work.
Around noon a driver came to pick me up and off, we went to the Beverly Hill COS store! I always go into a COS store when I'm abroad but I've never been to one stateside, so I was pretty excited to experience it finally. The COS team welcomed us with open arms and allowed us to tour the store, shop the floor, and the most unique part-- view the not-yet-released Spring collection. I was dying; I wanted everything. My usual un-minimal aesthetic went out the window, and all I seemed to want was navy topcoats and black cashmere. Everything was so gorgeous! If you have been watching my Insta Stories, you've seen my navy double-breasted COS topcoat which I most definitely wear at least once a week. I also picked out another kimono style coat, a slouchy yet chic turtleneck dress, and a sharp navy button-down dress; somehow I wasn't thinking about how to fit all these extra into an overhead bag. I think the thought process was more along the lines of how can I get this whole store home with me. :) But, I digress, back to the collection, it was full of texture, softer shades, and the dramatic shape that COS is known for! You need to get yourself to the site or find a store and check it out for yourself. Pro-tip: do yourself a favor and treat yourself with the olive one shoulder two-piece swimsuit. Oww Oww.
I'm in love. COS you've found yet another forever fan in me. Thanks for spoiling me and really letting me embody your brand the LA way.
I would love to see their new collection <3
