playing in the fog

{Alloy peacoat, wet seal denim, thirfted: Lands End sweater, Ralph Lauren button-up; BR by Edition necklace, Nine West boots}

This is what summer has been feeling/looking like for the most part in Northern California- cold, and foggy. This day we were actually in Half Moon Bay. We took a trip up to a local winery to bottle our own red wine. I love doing this every few months; always having good table wine on hand is a must for me!

The surrounding area was a bit farm-like and chilly being so close to the ocean, so I piled on the layers. Afterwards we headed for clam chowder (and beers) to warm up.

Here's hoping the weather man isn't wrong when he says the Bay Area will range between 70-90 degrees. I finally want to get my tan on. Happy (almost) forth!

blue crush

{Revlon, Sinful, F21, Sally Hansen}

I think I'm obsessed. In one week's time I purchased four (unneeded) nail colors- I have over fifty little bottles of nail polish, and am pretty sure I didn't need any more. But I just had to have a mint color, and then a wonder woman blue, and then an ocean blue, and then the first mint wasn't minty enough, so out I went and purchased a better mint! Why?!

Either way my nails are definitely an extension of my wardrobe, and they need to be dressed up too. There like mini cheaper outfits- for my nails.

{F21 top cut into a kimono style open front jacket}

Blue and I are definitely having a moment right now.

timeless breeze

{thrifted dress, Hollister sweater Steve Madden boots, Pins and Needles scarf, BR tote, Tanessi necklace, F21 sunnies}

This has got to be one of my favorite dresses. It is literally timeless. I purchased it in a thrift store and swear it came from the 60's or 70's, the fibers are pretty worn, and the polyester feel makes me think of this breezy number floating down Haight-Ashbury. The muted color palette made me think of ChloĆ© at the time this dress was purchased (4 years ago), and the $3 price tag didn't hurt either. It was a bit long, so I cut off about ten inches, and now wear it everywhere, in every season.

What's your go to timeless piece?

{GAP sweater, Alloy denim, Steve Madden booties, thrifted Ralph Lauren boys shirt, Pins and Needles scarf, Old Navy bucket bag, F21 hat}

 Quite surprised at how bounty hunter-ish this outfit came out, It felt very appropriate for the street festival I attended that afternoon, but came out a little more Crocodile Dundee than I hoped. It must be that bohemian element I seem to incorporate into everything I wear.

crushin' hard

I am always on the hunt for unique, beautiful specialty jewelry and accessories- can you say shopaholic? It doesn't necessarily have to be real, in fact my favorite pieces are costume jewelry, the larger and more dramatic the better! So it was no surprise that when I happened to stumble upon PeaceImages Jewelry my affinity for beautiful over the top jewelry didn't falter, and I just happened to want everything on the site (by the way, my boyfriend, and my wallet thank me for not making any dramatic purchases- just yet anyways!)

Right now my top nine...

Which is your favorite?

{American Apparel sweatshirt, UO scarf, F21: skirt, necklace, Towne & Reese bangles, Nine West booties}

Flipped when I saw this skirt, the colors were so amazing, and the price was just as sweet. Wore this little number to Rue Magazine's Issue #5 SF launch party, and had a blast mingling with the editors, and dancing with A B & The Sea. Any of you guys read Rue? Personally it's one of the best days of the week when my email inbox announces their latest bi-monthly mag issue is up for viewing!

Don't forget to enter my giveaway for a chance to win any item from the Towne & Reese collction!

the return

It's been so long since I posted that I almost forgot my password for blogger- almost. Life's been hectic, days have been short, free time/blogger time became nonexistent for a few weeks there. I'm glad school is over with for now; the financial accounting course I was taking last semester sure took its course on me. I'd like to say I am now more money savvy than ever, but if anything I almost feel like throwing caution to the wind and stocking up on everything I've ever wanted- hello ikat/bohemian printed everything!

Well I'm back! And I have a GIVEAWAY! The girls over at Towne & Reese have hooked me up, so I can hook you up to score any piece of jewelry from their website. There site is chock full of elegant and trend defying jewelry- the kind of stuff you want to keep forever, and still pass along to your daughters. Speaking of daughters, each piece of jewelry (necklace, bracelet, and earring) is named after a daughter of the cofounder's friends- love that!!

I am obsessed with quite a few pieces from the T&R collection, but right now I am nonstop, compulsively wearing out my beautifully elegant May earrings, and stack of eternally chic Carson bangles. The earrings are so dainty that I plan on wearing them to upcoming weddings, yet still feel a small gypsy vibe when I wear them, so I also rock them at weekend brunches! And the bangles- well, I pretty much wear these everywhere, mixed with other bracelets!
