indian summer

 {VS Catalog blazer, Gap sheer top, J. Crew shorts, SM heels, Rebecca Minkoff purse, bracelets: J. Crew, nOir, F21, FACE Stockholm nail color}

This was a work outfit, that was very much appropriate at the time- 90 degree weather. Where as now it is officially fall, and very much freezing- typical Bay Area weather. But for three short days, I took our very short summer, and took full advantage of sheer-ish numbers, and bright shorts like these!

Even though the sun is gone, and the wind is back, I'm looking forward to dressing for the season, and pulling out the layers, hats, and burnt orange separates I've been stockpiling!

salmon hues

 {Empyre blazer, Hollister dress, Steve Madden boots, Rebecca Minkoff 5 zip bag, J. Crew flower, FACE Stockholm nail color}

I couldn't be happier with my first Rebecca Minkoff purchase- it is absolutely beautiful and since I've been wanting one for sometime now I haven't been able to part with it for the past week (even though the color may not match with every outfit!)

The salmon color of the purse is a great, fun, everyday hue and I seem to be wanting more of it- regardless of fall- the flower pin on my jacket lapel, and my nails are actually in the same color family. Here's to bright fall staples- for now!

fall (nail) colors

 {Kensie sweater, Hollister halter, J. Crew pants, Jeffery Campbell booties, F21 jewelry, Old Navy bucket bag}

I warned you guys this is my favorite sweater, hence the over-wearing of it. So of course rain or shine, or in the Bay Area's case- an intense Indian Summer heatwave, it usually get's thrown over every outfit to add just a little somethin'.  Or, in this case, to keep me warm in a overly airconditioned theatre, since this is what I wore to go see "Crazy, Stupid, Love".

Anyways, my love affair with nail polish continues, if you look really closely at the last picture, one hand is painted green, and one is blue. While the temperatures are telling me it feels like summer,
I am fully invested in fall, and I am awaiting the day I can finally pull out my knee high boots, long overcoats, capes, and of course my burnt orange, moss green, and burgundy nail polishes!

summer in san francisco

{Nine West boots, J. Crew shorts, thrifted: vest, blouse, belt, }

This day was beyond freezing- mid August in San Francisco for ya'. So this is my best attempt to embrace the summer weather with a Bay Area twist- puffy vest and a pitcher of cold beer!

Funny story- I bought the vest (and J. Crew blouse) at a thrift store in Ohio the week before- in 95 degree weather. The girl at the register looked at me like I was crazy to be buying such a cold weather item- but at $4 total it would have been crazy not to!

new favorite sweater

{Kensie sweater, UO peter pan top, Cello jeans, J. Crew sandals, Marley B Parker ring, F21 earrings}

This sweater has been worn one too many times in the past month that I have owned it. But it's ok, because it can literally go with anything, and I plan on wearing it a lot more too with the cold season coming up- even though there are a hundred little holes in the material, it's perfect!
