black and tan

{Zara blazer (similar), ShopStyle tee (similar), Banana Republic skirt c/o, Zara red boots, KK sunglasses (similar), Katie Dean necklace c/o}

This look was meant to break up the typical startup work uniform. It's really easy for me to do skinny jeans and a blazer on a daily basis, but since it's been warming up a bit, and looking polished is always in season- I've decided to step up my work wardrobe with this striped pencil skirt. The neutral colors were a great base to start off with- black and tan- adding the fun graphic tee, and a colorful pair of booties gave it some life. Throwing on a delicate gold necklace was really the icing on the cake, if I chose an over the top flashy statement necklace it would of been too much.

How do you guys do work chic? I need some more ideas!

just beach-y

{Mom's vintage coat (similar style), faux fur stole attached from another coat, J. Crew sweater, True Religion jeans, Sam Edelman booties, Tory Burch Robinson Mini bag, Forever 21 beanie, shades: thrifted}

Another day, another beach.

The blue and the gray hues from Half Moon Bay really are dreamy, made for the perfect backdrop for this outfit. I layered like crazy since I knew HMB would be breezy. The coat is my mom's, and the faux fur stole is from another coat- which I love sort of attaching to whatever outerwear I'm wearing.

{Zara coat (similar style), navy cashmere sweater, AG jeans I designed, Loly in the Sky loafers c/o (how adorable are these?), KK collection sunnies (similar), Katie Dean necklace}

What looks like a busy mashup of prints is one of the comfiest weekend outfits I could of dreamed up. The cashmere crewneck and the softest, almost fleece-like skinnies kept me feeling like I was wearing pajamas all day- in the best way possible. If I really wanted to dress up the look though I'd switch out the loafers for high-heeled black pumps, remove the hat and add a super deep side part in my hair.

striped socks

{Mom's vintage coat (similar style), Uniqlo white buttonup, cashemere sweater (similar), Zara yellow blazer, True Religion denim c/o, socks from a trip to London, Zara loafers (similar)}

I was feeling under the weather this day but had a day full of meetings so off to work I went. Nothing a pair of striped socks (and a soy latte!)- to keep me warm and happy- couldn't fix.

my moments: beach days

{Half Moon Bay}
{Half Moon Bay layers}
{soft beach-y makeup palette}
{v-day blooms}
{beach kicks}
(duck face/kissy face?- either way those sunnies are what's up!}

Spent the long weekend hopping from beach to beach. We spent Saturday in Half Moon Bay- where it was gloomy yet serene, the gray and light blue hues I kept seeing have me super excited for Spring pastels and ready for a bit more warmth!

Sunday we traveled to San Francisco's Ocean Beach. We packed a picnic, and another pair of sunnies. We were greeted with a bit more heat, friendly pups and Bloody Mary's with a view. Amazing weekend in my book, kinda sad it's over, but excited the next weekend will come that much sooner.

Speaking of beach days, and beach style if you're in the SF area stop on by to preview Obey's line at Azalea, including some very exclusive items- on Feb 27th!

rainy day style

{PJK jacket, Zara blazer (fab similar style), Uniqlo oxford shirt, J. Crew denim, Nine West boots, Forever 21 beanie, Milani Black Cherry lipstick, Chloe + Isabel cocktail ring, purse from my travels to Prague}

This is what I wore last week to the Alyssa Nicole Spring 2014 preview presentation. It was raining and I wanted to stay warm, but it was a fashion event so as much as I wanted to throw sweats and puddle-stomping Hunter boots on-- that wasn't going to happen. Instead I layered to my little hearts content. A shearling jacket over a pinstripe blazer? Why yes please. It just worked out, not sure how- but I liked it.

What do you wear when it's raining but you want to dress it up a bit?

gal-entine's day

Whether you are single, taken or in between it's always a good idea to celebrate Valentine's day. When else can you indulge in massive amounts of sweets and girly things? This year I hosted a little soiree for just my ladies- my "Gal-entines". I found everything I needed to host a fabulous tea party at Whole Foods- from the bubbly, to the vegan donuts, to their guaranteed whole trade roses!

I set up a pretty sweet spread with nibbles and sips on the beautiful china my grandmother sent as a wedding present. We enjoyed the company, the food, read girly mags, and even did a little crafting. It was a lovely little (indulgent) tea party and just the way I like things. So to all my beautiful and fabulous readers Happy Gal-entine's Day, hope it's a sweet one.
