black and tan

{Zara blazer (similar), ShopStyle tee (similar), Banana Republic skirt c/o, Zara red boots, KK sunglasses (similar), Katie Dean necklace c/o}

This look was meant to break up the typical startup work uniform. It's really easy for me to do skinny jeans and a blazer on a daily basis, but since it's been warming up a bit, and looking polished is always in season- I've decided to step up my work wardrobe with this striped pencil skirt. The neutral colors were a great base to start off with- black and tan- adding the fun graphic tee, and a colorful pair of booties gave it some life. Throwing on a delicate gold necklace was really the icing on the cake, if I chose an over the top flashy statement necklace it would of been too much.

How do you guys do work chic? I need some more ideas!

  1. I love the pop from the booties-- they really work with the burgundy hue in your shades! Love the structure in that blazer, too- tres chic indeed!

  2. Love this outfit and the way you dressed it up with the blazer! :)

  3. Fabulous as always - Adore that skirt, such a flattering length & style! <3

  4. Adorbs! I love how you made use of that ShopStyle top! I am definitely one to get stuck in a jeans, tee and blazer rut as well. I make an effort to throw in a dress and tights every now and then, but jeans are so dang comfy!
